Colleen is a Marin County, California based, plein air, painter
and a recipient of a Marin Arts Council Grant for
Career Development. This grant was awarded as the first Wendy Gruber award for plein air artists in December, 2007.
Colleen worked in the San Francisco Bay Area as a computer graphic artist, animator and bike designer prior to focusing her career full-time on painting. She has been oil painting for 25 years, and studied at Parsons School of Design, Colby College, RISD, and CalArts. Colleen is a mother of twin boys. She has volunteered her time and talents to raise funds for Lansdale Playground, and the YES Foundation. She has donated art to fundraisers for the San Anselmo Arts Council, MALT, Marin Organic, and Trips for Kids. She currently paints with the Art on the Farm group of plein air painters, and is an associate member of the California Art Club. She has studied with Marin artist and teacher, Christin Coy.
